This documentary film is about the life of a spiritual figure, the nun Zdenka Schelinger, who became a victim of the regime. When she organized the escape of six unjustly imprisoned priests, it turned out to be a trap set by State Security. As a result of inhumane interrogation and cruel torture in detention, she got breast cancer and died in 1955 with the knowledge that, “no one has more love than one who gives his life for his friends.
My perception of sister Zdenka was fundamentally changed by letters that I found in her in- vestigation file. Until then, she had only been a distant sister for me, always perfect, a per- fect nurse, a perfect sufferer. Only after reading the letters in which I got to know her internal struggle, the way she was fighting, than she became close to me.
